Issu de la scène rock niçoise, Hubert 06 s'inspire du style brutal de ses maîtres : John Lee Hooker, Mississippi John Hurt, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Blind Willie Mc Tell, Son House, Skip James, Blind Willie Johnson,...Il écrit et compose, ou s'approprie le répertoire traditionnel toujours avec les mêmes outils : une guitare, un slide, sa voix fougueuse et une chaise.
